BLACK PEPPER TWISTS 
1 1/2 c. buttermilk baking mix (Bisquick)
1 tsp. black pepper or onion powder
4 tbsp. cold water

Mix baking mix with pepper (or onion powder), stirring constantly with fork. Sprinkle with water until pastry holds together. Shape into a ball. Divide in half. Roll each half into 10" long rope. Cut each into 10 (1") pieces. Roll each piece into a 6" long finger. On ungreased baking sheet shape into circles, criss crossing ends. Brush tops with water. Sprinkle with pepper. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes until golden brown or dry looking. Remove to rack to cool. Caraway or cumin seeds can be substituted.
