1 c. white sugar 1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. vegetable oil 1 c. Butter Flavored Crisco 1 tsp. cream of tartar 2 eggs 4 c. + 4 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla Mix sugars, oil and Butter Flavored Crisco until fluffy. Add eggs, dry ingredients and vanilla. Shape into balls and press with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake 7 to 9 minutes at 375 degrees, until edges are lightly browned. Cool and frost with decorator frosting. Yield: 6 dozen cookies. DECORATOR FROSTING: 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. Butter Flavored Crisco 1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar, sifted 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract Food coloring (optional) Cream Butter Flavored Crisco and sugar until well blended. Add milk and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Stir in food coloring, if desired. Yield: Frosting for 3 dozen cookies. |
