2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. corn flakes
Candied cherries for decoration

Sift flour and baking powder twice. Cream butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Add beaten egg and vanilla to the butter and sugar mixture and mix well. Add the flour to the above mixture and mix into a soft dough. Grind corn flakes coarsely.

Divide the dough into small balls using wet hands. Roll the dough balls in corn flakes and place them on a cookie sheet. Place a cherry on top of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
