CATFISH STEW | |
2 slices salt pork 2 lbs. catsup 3 med. potatoes 2 med. onions 1 lg. can evaporated milk Dice bacon in 1/4 inch bits, braise off in pot that you will cook stew in. Cut fish bits 1 1/2 or 2 inch pieces. Put in pot with 1 cup water. Cook slow while covered. Dice onions in bits 1/2 inch. Put in pot. Slice potatoes. Put in pot, continue cooking until done. Put remainder of evaporated milk in, continue cooking slow until well done. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir occasionally. |
