2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs. Blend in milk, water and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix with beater on low. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Make like cookies and take two, put icing on to make like a sandwich.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
5 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients with a mixer until thick.
