TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 sm. pkg. caramels
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
1 stick butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 sm. pkg. pecan pieces
Cool Whip

Prepare cake mix and directed on box. Pour 1/2 of batter in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until done. Meanwhile melt 1/2 can sweet milk, caramels, and butter. Melt until smooth, set aside to cool. When mixture is cool, pour over baked 1/2 cake. Then pour remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over cake. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes longer. Cool and serve with Cool Whip.
