2 c. oats
1 c. raisins
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1/4 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Cream Crisco until fluffy, add sugar and continue to cream until light. Add beaten eggs, oats, then flour, salt, spice which has been sifted together. Dissolve soda in water and add to mixture. Raisins and nuts may be added (if desired). Bake at 375 degrees about 15 minutes.
