IRENE'S APPLE PIE 
1 (9") double crust pie shell
4 lg. apples
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
1 lg. brown grocery bag
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour

Prepare the pie shell and set aside. Peel and core apples. Combine 2 tablespoons flour, sugar, nutmeg and sprinkle over apple slices. Spoon into pie shell. Combine butter, sugar and flour and mix until coarse. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Cover with top crust. Slide in large brown grocery bag, tie securely and bake at 425 degrees for 1 hour.
