FRENCH BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 lg. onion
1/4 c. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/8 tsp. Tabasco or to taste
1 c. grated cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
4 slices bacon, sauteed & crumbled
2 (16 oz.) cans French style green beans, drained
2 (5 oz.) cans water chestnuts, sliced
Almonds

Saute onion in butter. Add soup, Tabasco, grated cheese, salt and pepper. Heat until cheese melts. Add crumbled bacon to sauce. In casserole layer beans, sliced water chestnuts and sauce. Repeat. Top with almonds and butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Serves 8.
