JALAPENO CHEESE CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. cornbread mix
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 green onion, chopped
1/2 c. creamed corn
1/4 c. jalapeno pepper, chopped
3/4 c. grated cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack or both)
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. oil
Bacon bits, chopped pimiento, garlic to taste

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into buttered baking dish and bake at 425 degrees for about 25 minutes or until done. This is a wonderful recipe. It is particularly good with chicken, pork and any vegetable.
