OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3 lb. spareribs
1 c. thinly sliced onions
1 c. catsup
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Celery seed, optional
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Brown first; drain off fat. Place half the spareribs in a baking dish. Cover with sliced onions. Put remaining ribs on top. Cover and bake 45 minutes at a 350 degree oven. Drain off grease.

Combine other ingredients and pour over meat. Bake uncovered another 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Baste ribs frequently. Serves 6.
