VANILLA SAUCE | |
1 pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling 3 c. milk 2 tsp. vanilla Combine pudding mix and milk in medium saucepan. Cook according to package directions. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Place plastic wrap directly on surface of sauce. Cool, chill. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 week. May be served on fresh fruit. Variations: Cafe Au Lait Sauce: Add 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules with milk. Add sugar to taste; complete as vanilla sauce. May be served with slices of chocolate cake. Orange Sauce: Add 1 tablespoon orange rind with milk. Reduce vanilla to 1 teaspoon. Complete as vanilla sauce. May be served with strawberries or fresh fruit. |
