TURMERIC PICKLES | |
18 lg. cucumbers 12 sm. onions 2 tbsp. white mustard seed 2 tbsp. celery seed 2 c. sugar 1 sm. cinnamon bark 1 tsp. turmeric 3/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water Slice cucumbers, but don't peel slice of if small leave hole. Put cucumbers and onions in salt water for one hour. Then drain well. Add cucumbers and vinegar and spices together and boil 5 minutes or until turned light green. Seal in jars while hot. |
