BUTTERY DROP COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the buttery, sugar and salt. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add the flour and beat until smooth. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving plenty of room between them; they spread. Bake for about 10 minutes until edges are browned. Remove from pan and cool on flat surface. Makes 8 servings.
