BUTTERY LEMON SQUARES 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
2 sticks softened butter
1 tsp. baking powder

FILLING:

4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. flour
Grated lemon peel (opt.)

Grease 9"x13" glass baking pan. Pat crust into bottom and sides. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Mix together filling ingredients and pour into hot crust. Bake 20 minutes or more at 375 degrees until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while hot. Cut into squares when cool.
