6 egg whites
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
Fresh strawberries or fresh peaches
1 pt. whipped cream with sugar & vanilla to taste

Beat egg whites very stiff. Slowly add 2 cups sugar, vanilla and vinegar. Bake in layers, slowly 45 minutes to 1 hour at 300 degrees. When cool, spread on layer with strawberries and whipped cream. Repeat with next layer ending with strawberries and whipped cream.
