DELECTABLE CAULIFLOWER | |
1 head cauliflower 5 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. milk Few Grains paprika 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/2 c. nut meats Cook cauliflower, head down, 15 minutes in salt water; then boil it whole in salted water until tender. Lift it carefully into an oiled casserole and pour over it a sauce made by thickening the milk with the flour and seasoning it with butter, salt and paprika. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and finely chopped nuts. Bake in oven just long enough to brown nicely. A very good dish. |
