MICROWAVE VEGETABLE SOUP 
3 c. cabbage, coarsely cut
1 c. white potatoes, cubed
2 carrots, thinly sliced
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, drained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 onion, diced
1/8 tsp. garlic, minced
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 qt. water
1 lb. ham

Combine potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onion in 4-quart casserole. Microwave covered (vent) full power 6 to 8 minutes. Cube meat and add plus all remaining ingredients. Cook full power for 15 to 20 minutes, until heated through. Stir after 10 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
