CHILI 
4 tbsp. butter
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 green peppers
3 lbs. ground beef
4 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
2 dashes cayenne pepper
2 shakes Tabasco sauce
1 (16 oz.) can Italian tomatoes
2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3 bay leaves
2 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans

Heat the butter, add onion, garlic, green peppers and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add your cooked ground beef. Stir in the remaining ingredients except kidney beans. Simmer uncovered 40 minutes. Take the kidney beans and rinse under cold water. Add the beans for the last 10 minutes of simmering. Stir really well. Discard bay leaves and serve with French or Italian bread.
