1 German chocolate cake mix
14 oz. caramels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. butter
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 1/2 to 2 c. pecans

Mix cake mix as directed on package. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels with condensed milk and butter. Pour over cooled cake. Sprinkle with chips and 1 cup pecans. Pour remaining cake mix over all and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. While baking, sprinkle remaining nuts over top of cake. Serve warm.
