CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. Karo (light) corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 qts. popped popcorn
2 c. nuts (any kind)

Combine popcorn and nuts in large roasting pan. Melt butter. Add brown sugar, karo and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes without stirring (mixture will be foamy and rise up). Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and nuts and mix well.

Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on wax paper to cool and break apart. Store in airtight container.
