MARINATED BRISKET 
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. liquid smoke
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (3 lb.) beef brisket

Combine first 5 ingredients in 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish, mixing well. Place beef in dish. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight, turning meat occasionally. Cover and bake at 250 degrees for 5 or 6 hours, or until desired degree of doneness. To thicken gravy, combine marinade and 1/4 cup cornstarch in heavy saucepan, mix well. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook 1 minute.
