CREAM POTATOES 
4 large potatoes
1 tbsp. salt
2 cups evaporated or whole milk
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour or cornstarch, to thicken
pepper

Peel and cube potatoes (bite size). Boil until soft in salted water until ready to eat. Drain and add milk and butter. Return to heat and thicken with flour mixed with milk or water. Add pepper to taste.

We were a poor family of 6 and this was a belly filler that we all loved.
