FRENCH FRIED SHRIMP 
1 lb. fresh shrimp
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 egg, beaten

Make a smooth batter of flour, salt, pepper, water, lemon juice, and salad oil. Add egg to mixture. Dip shrimp into batter and fry in deep fat until crisp and golden brown.
