STRAWBERRY NUT BREAD | |
1 c. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. lemon extract 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. strawberry jam 1/2 c. dairy sour cream 1 c. broken nuts Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift dry ingredients. Mix jam and sour cream. Alternately add flour and jam mixtures. Fold in nuts. Bake at 325 degrees in two greased loaf pans for 50 to 60 minutes or till bread tests done. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Wrap overnight before cutting. |
