CHEESE STRAWS 
1/2 lb. sharp cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper

Let cheese and butter soften at room temperature. Mash cheese and butter together. Add flour, salt and pepper. Mix well (do not use mixer) and knead until smooth. Push through star disk of cookie press and cut into 1 1/2 or 2-inch straws.

Bake on cookie sheet about 10 minutes at 350°F.

Makes around 80 straws.
