1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 lg. egg, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour (plain) to be sifted with baking powder
1 c. nuts

Mix in order given, making a stiff dough. Shape in roll and wrap in wax paper and place in refrigerator. When ready to bake, slice thin and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or less depending on your oven.
