GINGERBREAD GEMS 
1/2 c. molasses
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 c. flour

In mixing bowl, blend molasses and sugar. Add oil and mix. Add egg and beat. Stir in sour milk with the soda dissolved in it. Sift the other dry ingredients together and add. Stir until flour has disappeared spoon into 12 gem or muffin pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes serve hot or with Cool Whip. Freeze well.
