BUTTER HORNS 
4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. warm milk
1 cake or pkg. dry yeast dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
2 eggs

Mix flour, shortening, sugar, and salt together like pie crust to resemble fine bread crumbs. Beat eggs and add to warm milk. Add yeast-water to egg-milk mixture and beat together, then add dry ingredients and place in covered bowl. Refrigerate overnight.

Next morning, divide the dough into four portions and roll on floured board like pie crust. Spread each section with butter and roll up like crescent rolls. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Brush with butter after out of oven.
