TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 1/4 lb. bag caramels 3/4 c. butter 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 c. pecans Mix cake with package directions. Grease and flour a 13x9x2 cake pan. Pour 1/2 of cake batter into pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. In saucepan melt caramels, butter and milk. Remove cake from oven. Pour caramel mixture across 1/2 baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top. Pour remaining batter over top and return to oven. Bake for another 20 minutes at 350 degrees. |
