SWEET AND SOUR RIBS | |
3 lbs. spareribs 1/2 c. finely diced onions 1/4 c. diced green pepper 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/3 c. vinegar 1 (No. 2) can pineapple tidbits and juice 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Salt and pepper to taste Cut after every 3 ribs, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in shallow pan. Bake in moderate oven until done. Mix remaining ingredients and let stand to blend flavor. When ribs are done, add ribs; without fat to sauce and bake 45 to 60 minutes longer, if desired, about 250 degrees. |
