VALENTINE CHERRY BARS | |
1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries 1/2 c. M & M's chopped 1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 5 tsp. warm water Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy; blend in egg and almond extract. Add combined flour and salt; mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup cherries and M & M's Spread dough onto ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with remaining cherries and M & M's. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool. Combine water and confectioners' sugar; mixing until smooth. Drizzle over top, cut into bars. |
