4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 2 lg. pkg. mild cheddar cheese 1 lg. onion, diced finely 1/2 tsp. red pepper (for a milder hot spread omit if you don't) Garlic salt to taste (use less than normal because as cheese ball sits the taste will become stronger 2-3 c. pecans Combine all ingredients. Crush pecans. Divide mixture into balls of any size depending upon your needs. Roll in crushed pecans and store in refrigerator. You can also freeze these. Let them set to room temperature before serving. |
