APPLE WALNUT RING CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix. Add flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in vanilla, add apples and walnuts. Batter will be stiff, spoon into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
