BUTTERY CINNAMON SKILLET APPLES 
1/3 c. butter

1/2 c. sugar

2 tbsp. cornstarch

1 1/2 c. water

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

6 med. cooking apples, cored, peeled & cut in half

In skillet melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar and cornstarch; mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples occasionally until apples are fork tender and sauce is thickened (12-15 minutes). Can be served with main dish or as a dessert.
