TAFFY APPLE SALAD 
4 Granny Smith apples (large)
8 oz. can crushed pineapple (reserve juice)
1/2 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 c. crushed peanuts (salted or dry roast)
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. flour

Cook pineapple with juice, sugar, vinegar and flour until thick; let cool. Mix Cool Whip and pineapple mixture and peanuts in a bowl; add chopped apples.

HINT: Peel one apple at a time and stir chopped apple into pineapple mixture to prevent browning.
