DATE ROLL CANDY 
1 1/2 c. milk
3 c. granulated sugar
1 box chopped pitted dates
1 c. chopped pecans

Boil milk and sugar together until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add dates. Return to heat and cook until real thick over medium heat for 20 or 30 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Then add pecans. The mixture will be very thick and gummy. Cut after nuts are mixed in, mixture will be too hard to beat. Roll in damp cloth and leave until cold and hard. Slice thin or thick as desired.
