FAVORITE PIE CRUST 
5 c. flour
3 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 lb. lard
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. cold water

Sift together the flour, brown sugar, salt and baking powder; cut in the lard. Make a well in the center and pour in a mixture of the egg, water and vinegar; mix well. Shape into 8 patties. Chill before rolling. These freeze well, too, for convenience later.
