TURNIP CASSEROLE 
4 turnips
1/2 - 3/4 c. diced ham
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
Salt
Pepper
1 1/2 c. milk
1 can Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 c. corn flakes OR crackers, crushed

Cook and drain turnips. Put in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Lightly brown the ham in the butter. Add flour, salt and pepper and milk. Cook until thick. Stir in soup. Pour sauce over turnips. Top with corn flakes or crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
