CREAMED PEAS 
1 lb. bacon, well cooked, drained and crumbled
2 lb. frozen peas, rinsed with warm water to thaw
1 med. onion, finely chopped and sauteed in
5 tbsp. butter
5 tbsp. flour, added to onions and butter while sauteing
1/2 tsp. salt, added to flour mixture
2 pinches pepper
2 1/2 c. milk, added to flour mixture

Stir flour mixture with milk until thick and lower heat. Add peas and fold into mixture. Crumble in bacon. Allow to keep warm until peas are heated through. Now it is ready to serve. Left overs may be reheated in a double boiler or microwave.

Optional - pearl onions may be used and added in with peas.

For added flavor (not good if you're watching fat intake) use some bacon drippings in place of butter.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
