BAKED APPLE TORTE 
1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 lg. egg
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon peel
3 lg. apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl; add next 6 ingredients. Stir until mixed. Core, peel and dice apples (about 4 cups). Add with nuts and raisins to batter and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended. Turn into well greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm or cool with cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
