1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. apples, sliced and tart
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts, crushed
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 egg
1/8 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, except egg. Drop in unbeaten egg and mix like pie crust. Press torte mixture into greased and floured 9-inch pie tin. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip or better yet REAL WHIPPED CREAM. Makes 6 servings, pie shaped. Very simple.
