AMSTERDAM APPLE TORTE 
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. coarsely chopped apples, peeled and cored
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
4 tbsp. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together until smooth the eggs, salt and sugar. Fold in apples, nuts, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Pour batter into a greased 10-inch baking dish and bake at 325 degrees for about 45 to 50 minutes. Cool. Serve with ice cream or sweetened whipped cream.
