2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening

Mix dry ingredients, work in shortening with pastry cutter or fingertips. Add milk quickly. Toss on floured board. Pat, roll, cut with large biscuit cutter or roll to fit into 8x8 inch pans. Dough will be sticky. Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
