HAWAIIAN DREAM CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pineapple juice, drained from 1 sm. can of crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar, divided
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Use crushed pineapple in frosting of your choice

Sift and measure 2 cups flour. Resift with 1 cup sugar and 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Set aside.

Heat 1 cup pineapple juice drained from small can of crushed pineapple. Pour hot over 4 egg yolks beaten stiff with 1/2 cup sugar. Then add flour mixture, beat lightly until smooth. Beat until stiff 4 egg whites adding to them the other 1/2 cup sugar. Beat to stiff points. Fold into batter. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Two 9 inch pans.
