CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
8 oz. spinach noodles
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. shortening
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1 lb.) can cream corn
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
1 c. sliced ripe olives
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Cook spinach noodles according to package directions. Line bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan with drained noodles. In large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in shortening; add beef and cook until browned; drain. Add to skillet the corn, tomato sauce, soup, olives, chili powder, salt, mustard, and pepper. Heat 5 minutes. Pour over noodles; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Meat mixture can be frozen to serve with pasta.
