MONKEY BREAD 
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour

Combine milk, 1/2 cup butter, sugar, and salt in saucepan. Heat until butter melts. Cool until warm and add yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup water. Stir well. Place flour in a large bowl, add milk mixture and stir until well blended. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Pinch off small amount of dough to make 1 1/2 inch balls. Dip each in melted butter. Layer balls of dough in 10 inch tube pan. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until nicely browned. Cool on rack in pan for 5 minutes, then invert on plate. It will pull apart in serving pieces.
