CHOCOLATE/CHERRY RING 
2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 beaten eggs
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In another bowl combine eggs, oil and vanilla; add to flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in cherry pie filling, chocolate chips and nuts. Put mixture into a greased and floured 10" fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool cake completely. Sift powdered sugar over top.
