FRIED OKRA 
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lb. tender okra
1 c.cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 c. bacon fat or any good oil

Slice okra and coat in cornmeal flour mixture. Fry in hot fat until brown and crisp. Drain. Salt and pepper, optional.
