46 Ritz crackers, crushed
6 egg whites
2 c. sugar
2 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
Approximately 6 bananas
1 lg. Cool Whip

Lightly butter 9x13 inch pan. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Gradually beat in sugar. Fold in crackers, nuts and vanilla (small amount at a time). Spread in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool.

Before serving, slice bananas over torte. Top with Cool Whip. Garnish with cherries or nuts.
